KeyWord optimization part 1st

In  the last post we learn about website layout and design. Today we learn about keyword optimization.
A keyword is a term that's used to match with the query a person enters into a search engine to find specific data. most people enter search phrases that consist of 2 to 5 words. Such phrases may be called search phrases,or just keywords. good keyword phrases are specific and descriptive. the following concepts related to keywords help in optimizing the keywords on a web page.


Keyword Frequency

this is|this can be} calculated as how often does a keyword seem in a website title. you dont want to go overboard with frequency, however, since on some engines(google, yahoo) if you repeat a word too many times, you are fined for  keyword stuffing. in general , repeat your keyword in the document as many times as you can get away with, and up to 3-8 times in your list of metatags of home page or web page of web site.

Keyword Weight

It refers to the {number|the amount|the quantity} of keywords appearing on your web page compared to the total number of words showing  same page. Some search engines(google, yahoo) think about this whereas decisive the rank of your web site for a selected keyword search. One technique that usually works well is to create some small pages, generally just a paragraph long that emphasizes a particular keyword or set of keyword. By keeping the overall number of words to at least or  a minimum, you can increase the "weight" of the keyword you are emphasizing.

Keyword Proximity


It refers to the position of keywords on a web page in relation to one another or, in some cases, in relation to other words with a similar meaning as the queried keyword. For search engines(google, yahoo) that grade a keyword match by keyword proximity.

Keyword Prominence


it's a measure of how early on a page the keywords are found on your web. Having keywords within the initial heading and within the initial paragraph (first twenty words or so) on a page are best.
Keyword Placement wherever your keywords square measure placed on a page is extremely vital. as an example, in most engines, inserting the keywords within the Title of the page, or within the Heading tags can provides it additional relevancy. On some engines, placing keywords within the link text,  underlined on the screen in a browser of your computer, can add additional relevancy to those words.
